Take a tour of Great Britain's finest university town
We start at the ancient Fenland university town including visits to the most famous colleges including King’s, Trinity, where Isaac Newton studied, and Magdalene with its Samuel Pepys library. Past the colleges meander the celebrated Backs (a waterway where the punting style is different to Oxford’s), maybe we will have time to see the Fitzwilliam Museum too. We will then move down the road to Duxford Air Museum to see examples of the most famous planes in the world. This was a key Battle of Britain base and we can see the celebrated Spitfire and Hurricane plus a quite fabulous assembly of America’s fighting aircraft through the ages.
